Turtlewax #3

Happy Monday morning to you! (And I managed to say that with a straight-face even though I haven't had any coffee yet.)

Here we go with Turtlewax No. 3. Not much to add on this one except that you have to be somewhat familiar with Mission Impossible to get everything in this one, but I think even without that, it's pretty self-explanatory.

I hope you guys are enjoying this "blast from my past". It's been fun for me digging these things out and polishing them up for the blog.

See you Wednesday!

Turtlewax #2

Here we go, Turtlewax #2. I'm trying to keep this blog hot since you guys haven't had any S&R's in a while. And I'll post again on Monday, I think.

Hope you enjoy the strip, and I'll see you guys back here some time on Monday!

Am I Not Turtley Enough For You?

This is a scan of the original drawing in did in Government class on February 13, 2000. Although, I'm sure I'm further illustrating my shortcomings as an artist. :-P

Turtlewax #1

I had American Government class in college in the Spring of 2000. At least, I'm pretty sure that's when I had it. The professor was incredibly boring, and my T.A. told everything we needed on the tests anyway. So this idea was born out of complete and utter boredom in that class. (Don't some of the best idea's come out of boredom?)

This is the first Turtlewax I did. I did a total of 5 and I'm going to post several of them while Eli is out, to provide our loyal readers with some measure of entertainment.

Turtlewax is intended to be completely satirical. The idea is that in every strip we see that Turtlewax is about to be "waxed". Like in this strip, as we go from panel to panel, we see Turtlewax is standing in the middle of a highway, and is in the path of an oncoming semi-truck. I tried to write a political strip that didn't take itself that seriously, which is hard to do. By saying that, it is sort of my disclaimer. The strip is intended to be funny, and not mean, but I'm leaving the comments open, so if you feel you need to express your opinion, I encourage it!

I was/am not an artist, but given a good enough idea I certainly tried. And Photoshop is my best friend. So I'm going to post the Photoshop-corrected images to spare you.
Enjoy!
